ABC’s for ME: Some Fun Facts

I thought I’d take a break from recipes (although I had a creative-y dinner tonight; I made a turkey burger and topped it with some apple butter and cheddar cheese. Love. Cheese). Since an excellent Thursday post is in the works for tomorrow, I thought I’d entertain you all with a nice meme that I grabbed from Alexa – thanks Alexa!

So here I am…

A Attached or Single? Single. Which was fun, really, because so far I haven’t met anyone who can eat as much guacamole as I can or who can sit through six straight hours of Law & Order SVU without complaining (or leaving) until age 25 became a very, very near reality. Now I think we’re ready to move on.

B. Best Friend? tough one. my mom puts up with the most of my crap, so she deserves a mention here for that. and you know, i would go on and list my favorite friends, but none of them have blogs and probably won’t even read this so i’ll leave you with a lame-ass “you know who you are.”

C. Cake or pie? ice cream cake. yum.

D. Day of choice? I like Saturday mornings. A whole weekend ahead of you…bliss…

E. Essential item? Clinique super balanced makeup base. in ivory. Yep, I’m vain. How about you?

F. Favorite color? I like things in deep jewel tones, particularly deep red/cranberry.

G. Gummy bears or worms? pass. i’ll take the M&M’s thankyouverymuch.

H. Hometown? I always get confused. Is your “hometown” where you were born or where you grew up? I was born in NYC but I lived there for all of two great years before moving to Plainsboro, New Jersey. It’s a real metropolis, can’t ya tell?

I. Favorite indulgence? Massages. I can’t afford them but they’re oh so deliciously amazing.

J. January or July? January, it’s my birthday month so I kind of have to pick it by default.

K. Kids? What about them?

L. Life isn’t complete without? amazing memories that make you realize it’s so good to be alive.

M. Marriage date? Say what? (I’m sure the fact that I dodged both questions about kids and marriage was not lost on any of you. For clarification, see letter A.)

N. Number of brothers and sisters? one younger brother – he’s OK. 🙂

O. Oranges or Apples? Apples. I eat one every day. And not because of that old “an apple a day” thing. I just like them. And I like picking them in the fall!

P. Phobias? I have an unnatural fear of food borne illness. Maybe not SO unnatural since I once had food poisoning FOR TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT but still, when in doubt, man, throw it out.

Q. Quotes? I’m going to be very generic here and profess my undying love for Real Simple’s

R. Reasons to smile? Why not?

S. Season of choice? Fall! I love the weather and the breeze and the first day you really need a jacket. I love all things apple and pumpkin and Halloween is SO MUCH FUN and there are few things prettier than leaves changing colors.

U. Unknown fact about me? my middle name is Stewart.

V. Vegetable? Maybe broccoli. i like a lot of vegetables, but one time my mom told me i should mix it up a little and “stop eating broccoli so much.” I’m sure most parents don’t tell their kids that.

W. Worst habit? I fidget a lot. And I twirl my hair without even realizing I’m doing it.

X. X-ray or Ultrasound? X-ray. If I’m getting an X-ray, I likely fell or did something ridiculous like fell off a bus, bumped into a desk and fell over, walked into a wall (not that ANY of these things have ever happened. No, I’m not the girl who managed to fall on a staircase at every frat house on my college campus. OK, there were four, but whatever, it’s still a good stat). At least with the X-ray, I’ll probably have a good story to tell.

Y. Your favorite food? ice cream. i know, i’m lame. but i really could eat ice cream until i’m sick. or maybe cheese and crackers. i could also eat those until ill.

Z. Zodiac sign? Capricorn. I like reading my horoscope in the morning in the AM New York and then in the Metro. I pick which one I like better and that’s “my” horoscope for the day.
