Creative Holiday Gifts for Him with Culinary Twist

cubero holiday gifts

If there is one thing I know about men that I will argue until the end of time, it’s that they are infinitely more difficult to buy holiday gifts for than women are. I’m sure that I’m perpetuating all kinds of sexists stereotypes with this statement, so I’ll illustrate with an example. I’ve known my brother for all 30 years that he’s been alive. His birthday is in January and I typically have his gift by February or March. His girlfriend, who I met for the first time about six months ago, just had a birthday in December. I had her gift in hand in October and gave it to her a week early.

Ladies, even though it isn’t half as much fun buying clothing, costume jewelry, accessories and bath/beauty products for men, there are ways to get creative with your gift giving this holiday season. The one thing all humans have in common is that we eat. Even for people who aren’t foodies that love to cook and dine out, a special dinner every once in awhile is always a welcome receipt. Instead of opting for the ho-hum restaurant gift card, put together a fun and festive package of delicious, culinary-related treats.

Chicago Steaks

I happen to live in Chicago where great steakhouses are plentiful. Of course, there are still times when cooking at home is more fun. Chicago Steak Company lets you give the gift of gourmet steaks, seafood and desserts for any occasion. You can choose from dozens of combinations and options, but if your guy is on the seriously nice list, consider a 6 or 12-month long gift subscription — think, a whole year of premium Angus beef filet mignon, strip steaks and USDA prime burgers delivered right to the doorstep. I recently received a box of filet mignon and it was easily the best steak I’ve had in a long time.

Wine or Spirits

Nothing rounds out a holiday meal — or a holiday gift — like a perfect wine or spirit pairing. Depending on what the guy in your life likes to drink, grab a nice bottle of it for year round sipping. While many men prefer scotch, whisky or bourbon, a nice bottle of red wine is always a safe bet. Plus, a good Cabernet Sauvignon always pairs well with steak. If you’re lucky, maybe he’ll share.

Cubero Cigars

Spice up your gift giving  this holiday season with Cubero Cigars, available in three pleasing flavors: wine (Blend No. 7) , mocha (Blend No. 12)and sweet (Blend No. 35). Not only are these perfect for mixing and matching (think: wine themed gift, coffee themed gift and so on) they also complement one of life’s greatest pleasures (especially for the fellas): steak, and red wine. Whatever palette fits the man in your life has, there is a Cubero Cigar to fit his taste.

Made with 100% aged tobacco and a gorgeous natural wrapper leaf, Cubero Cigars are the perfect gift for any enthusiast. They come in packs perfect for sharing at bachelor parties, games nights o on special occasions, too. To sign up for free coupons and to find a retailer near you visit Cubero Cigars website here.

Finishing Salts

If you’re taking the steak route, round out your gift with some special finishing salts or herbs. Jacobsen Salt Company is a new favorite of mine that offers an extensive assortment of classic and infused salts, salty confections (Salty Black Licorice, Salty Caramels, Salty Honey Nut Chews, Salty Maple Chews), cocktail salts and pantry staples such as canned, line-caught Oregon Albacore Tuna, Sweet & Salty Granola, and Herb & Salt Bagel Chips. Opt for a six-vial gift set that will be the perfect accompaniment to any grilling occasion
