It’s safe to say, the beauty bag can weigh heavy (literally!) when trying to pack essentials for a trip. When traveling, I have a few beauty ‘essentials’ I cannot leave Texas without. So what travel beauty products become indispensable when trying to save space yet still have the basics on hand?

There are many items that can be added to the list depending on occasion, but I think I have found the perfect combination of all-star travel beauty products to get me to and through my next trip (including one beautifying ‘tool’ that won’t take up any additional space!).

Bumble Prêt a Powder (dry shampoo)

There isn’t always ample time for blowouts and regimented shampoos while traveling; cue in the powder. Pret a Powder absorbs the natural oils in your hair while conditioning your locks. It’s also great because your hair doesn’t feel coarse after using – it surprisingly feels fresh while looking fresh. Bumble & Bumble Prêt a Powder, $27, Sephora

Tarte Park Avenue Princess Palette

I have never found so perfect a palette— it is marketed as a contouring palette, but I don’t really use it for Kim Kardashian-style contouring. I love this palette because it has the perfect colors of bronzer, blush and champagne highlighter.

The bronzer is perfection: not sparkly, not even a hint of orange, and infused with skin-balancing Amazonian Clay for longer-lasting wear.  The sleek compact with an oversized mirror is perfect for travel because you can ditch all your individual bronzer, blush and highlighters. Tarte, Park Avenue Princess Palette, $34, Ulta.

SK II Facial Treatment Mask

Prepare for puffiness to disappear and pores to become invisible aka radiance has been restored. Not only does it give a matte-shine, it feels fantastic and refreshing. Good news for the traveler – you won’t break out after this mask. SK-II Facial Treatment Mask, $135, Sephora.

Physician’s Formula Bronzer

This bronzer has SPF protectant. Best part? Since you’re technically supposed to reapply sunscreen every two hours, this powder is appealing because it won’t mess up my make up like reapplying a cream would. Physician’s Formula CityGlow Daily Defense Bronzer, $15, City Glow

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes 4 in 1 Mascara

Currently obsessed – it not only lengthens and adds volume, but conditions the lashes. It really increases the lash volume. This with Covergirl Clump Crusher Extension on top? It’s a combination I cannot travel without. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4 in 1 Mascara, $20, Sephora.

Tan Towels

Talk about a sunless tanner for the traveler – these easy-to-use towelettes give you a natural glow that’s second to none. No sun exposure required. The towelettes even have a citrus scent so when traveling, you smell great while skin transforms from translucent to tropical. The Tan Towel Self-Tan Towelette, $24, Ulta.com.

Nuxe Beauty

Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm

My lip balm collection is embarrassingly large, but this is the one I reach for every night and I repurchase when I run out. Nuxe Reve de Miel is a cult-favorite lip balm with a unique, creamy balm texture and a matte finish. A generous layer before bed moisturizes lips better than anything else I’ve tried (including fancy lip balms like By Terry and La Mer!) And a thin coating also works beautifully as a primer under matte lipsticks. Nuxe Rêve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm, $19, available at Nuxe.
