In order to be able to make delicious meals at a moment’s notice, you need to keep a well-stocked freezer.  Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads offers naan and pizza crusts perfect to keep on hand for last-minute entertaining, but when you’re cooking for one or two, you might not want to commit to making multiple servings of whatever is on the menu. Stonefire Original Mini Naan are convenient, quick-to-reheat and perfectly portioned for any occasion, from a desperate weeknight dinner to a leisurely weekend meal.

Inspired by the amazing bruschetta at Postino Wine Cafe, I love to make mini naan flatbreads for entertaining. At Postino, you can pick and choose from pretty much every bruschetta combination you can imagine, my favorites being Brie & Apples with Fig Spread, Prosciutto with Figs & Mascarpone, Burrata, Bacon, Arugula & Tomato and Ricotta with Dates & Pistachios.  They’ll come sliced into pieces for easy sharing, which is an easy idea to replicate in your own kitchen.

When you replicate this idea on mini naan, you have a couple of options. You can serve them individually for a heartier bite or slice them into four pieces each, so people can mix and match flavors and try numerous pieces. For a smaller gathering, I stick to my favorite combination, which is borrowed from several of my favorite bruschetta combinations: creamy ricotta cheese with tangy Granny Smith apples and a drizzle of honey for a sweet finish.

If you love Stonefire and you’re lucky enough to live in our great city of Chicago, look for the Stonefire Food Truck to be cruising the Windy City between May 9 – May 22, primarily stopping at area Jewel-Osco locations.  On May 15th, you can find the truck sampling in some busy locations including  Roosevelt Road and Wabash Avenue, followed by Chicago Avenue and Wabash Avenue. The truck will be sampling original plant-based recipes created by Chef Marcel Vigneron and you can follow the truck’s whereabouts on Twitter.
