When you’re getting ready for a big date night and you want it to be special, it’s easy to forget some of the things that will make you look and feel your best. We’ve compiled the perfect date night kit that you can easily make for yourself, or for a friend with all of the essentials.
When I create care packages I like to pull of the goods together in a special bag, box or container. I made this specific kit with a friend in mine who will be celebrating her first wedding anniversary soon. While I don’t know what the couple’s plans are, I do know that when you’re planning a special event, it’s easy to forget minor details.
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion with a weekend getaway or upping the Friday night ante with an elegant dinner in, there are a few essentials that are easy to forget, but impossible to go without.
Materials Needed
- Wooden or wicker basket
- Ribbon color of your choice
I started by customizing a pretty basket with my friend’s favorite color ribbon. It’s a simple touch, but something easy to do with two simple supplies that you can get for under $5 at any craft store. I started with a basket and red ribbon that I purchased from a local craft store.
It’s super easy to customize this, threading the ribbon through the basket weave. You can use more than one color or patterned ribbon, but be sure to pick something that will pop against your basket.
It’s a small touch, but it’s those little things that go a long way when you’re creating a memorable gift. Here are a few things you should be sure to include in your date night essentials kit, all of which are available at your local drug store or Walmart.
Something for the lips
