With the holiday season is well underway and for some of us, winding down, most of our presents have been dispensed, most of our holiday goodies delivered. Me though? I’m still on holiday recipes and I’m loving these cinnamon sugar pecans.
If you were late to the game or still in the thick of party season, you might still be searching for the perfect gift for your host or hostess.
If you don’t have the energy to hit the post-Christmas sales, you can make an amazing gift in your own kitchen, which I did, courtesy of an superb recipe from Lisa, a good friend and fellow food blogger.
These addictive cinnamon sugar pecans could not be any easier if they made themselves.
There are two steps, four ingredients and countless ways to wrap them — in treat bags, mason jars, sweets boxes, or holiday treat tins.
I wrapped these in individual cellophane bags to give as holiday gifts.
They’re a tasty diversion from holiday cookies and super easy to make.
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!
- 4 cups pecan halves
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 300F. Combine all pecans and egg whites in a large ziploc bag. Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
- Toss cinnamon sugar with pecans until thoroughly coated.
- Bake 30 minutes on a rimmed baking sheet, stirring pecans every 10 minutes.
