A little late in commenting, but just came across your blog looking for a 'different' biscotti recipe. Love biscotti and will definitely try this. When cooking with lavender best to go looking for buds rather than blossoms; personally I put a tablespoon of buds in a cup of sugar and let steep for a few weeks, then use the sugar for baking (in case you're leery of eating flowers).
To those who want to expand their flower eating repertoire, try adding nasturtium flowers to salads, and candied violets to desserts or to decorate ice cream.

It looks good. I must say that I like English tea (my uncle's wife is from Europe) and butter cooks. I like the simple things.
