Whole wheat biscuits topped with The Laughing Cow White Cheddar spreadable cheese wedges, tangy cranberry compote and a touch of fresh rosemary. There is nothing I like better than a really, really good cheese plate. From fontina to tallegio, from double cream brie to smoked gouda, it’s all good in my book. Your cheese plate should be balanced and well-rounded, with plenty of crackers, maybe a handful of grapes, for guilt appeasement. Of course, your cheese plate should also be filled with The Laughing Cow spreadable cheese wedges. What does each scenario have in common? Beyond the deliciousness that will ensue, that is. The Laughing Cow spreadable cheese is, quite simply, delicious, creamy cheese with endless snack possibilities. With eight wedges per box, The Laughing Cow is perfect for entertaining crowds during the busy holiday season. When it comes to hors d’oeuvres for a holiday dinner, though, it can be hard to choose something that will pair well with your festive meal without being too filling for your guests to leave room for turkey and stuffing. Whenever I break out the big guns and do a cheese plate for guests, we wind up too full to properly gorge ourselves on the main course. That […]

Brighten up your next cocktail party with an appetizer that is equal parts sweet, spicy and savory. Top crispy crostini with The Laughing Cow® Creamy Spicy Pepper Jack cheese wedges and top them off with for last-minute entertaining fare. I’m going to set three scenes for you and then you’re going to tell me what they have in common: 1. You’re throwing a holiday party and you need a light and balanced appetizer to round out a table full of meat and fried food. 2. You’re packing a simple picnic and you need a quick, easy to assemble snack that you can pack int reusable containers and take on-the-go. 3. You get a call shortly before dinner that friends are stopping by; you need to grab something on the way home to pull together to serve alongside wine. What does each scenario have in common? Beyond the deliciousness that will ensue, that is. Well, the solution to each of these culinary conundrums is Spicy Pepper Jack Bruschetta with Mango Salsa, which is my latest recipe for The Laughing Cow, a delicious, creamy cheese with endless snack possibilities. With eight spreadable wedges per box, The Laughing Cow is perfect for entertaining crowds during the busy holiday season. […]

Assemble smoked salmon and cucumber tea sandwiches with The Laughing Cow® Creamy Swiss, Garlic & Herb cheese wedges on thinly sliced bread for last-minute entertaining fare. It’s well-documented that I love to throw parties. As much as I love to have friends over, my apartment has a fatal flaw: I don’t have a dining table. My apartment is spacious enough for one person, but until I’m ready to move into a bigger place, there are a few things that will have to wait, seated dinner parties being among them. Luckily, there is no better way to get a gathering started than to open a bottle of wine and serve some hors-d’oeuvres. I love serving small bites rather than a big main course — people love to nosh and sample different tastes. The only problem is that the word “hors-d’oeuvres” is a little stuffy. It calls to mind catering waiters passing canapés around a black tie gala. The alternatives, though, just aren’t much better: “appetizers” makes me think of fried onion rings and pub fare and “snacks” just doesn’t do justice to the tea sandwiches we’re going to talk about here. Snacks are usually quick and casual, no-frills and fuss-free. That is, unless we […]
