Three of my favorite things in the world are cookies, dinner parties and kitchen appliances…and not in that order. I especially love it when all three things merge: using kitchen appliances to bake cookies for a dinner party. Recently I was contacted by Del Webb, a home building company that has partnered with KitchenAid to encourage philanthropy and community this summer with 1,000 Cooks for the Cure, which challenges America to host 1,000 dinner parties to raise money for breast cancer research and community outreach programs. The annual event has raised nearly $8 million since 2001 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. I’m all about supporting good causes and this one is no different. Giveaway – NOW CLOSED To help you do more baking for dinner parties (everybody does that, right?) and to support the 1,000 Cooks for a Cure program, I’m giving away your choice of one KitchenAid Seven Speed Hand Mixer ($79.99) OR one KitchenAid 5-Speed Artisan Series Blender ($129.99). The Rules: Leave a comment here that answers the following questions: what is the first thing you’ll make with the blender OR hand mixer if you win? Anonymous comments: leave your email address in the comment field […]
