Dressing comfortably for Thanksgiving doesn’t need to mean wearing your college sweatpants and a T-shirt. While I’m sure there are some families that dress to impress for Thanksgiving, I can tell you that mine is not one of those families. I like to joke that if everyone comes to the table wearing pants, then the holiday is a roaring success. There are plenty of reasons to have a party. As we become adults, there are fewer special occasions for us to look forward to. We get holidays and we get birthdays, but for most of us, graduations and weddings and the big celebratory milestones are grow fewer and farther between.Instead of thinking of this as a depressing situation, let’s look at the glass half full. Even if you have no actual excuse to celebrate, we have a few reasons for you to whip out the bubbly, pile on the baubles and buy a gift for you…something that sparkles. You know those people who put their dreams on the sideline to opt for a path that they ‘should’ take? Well, Meggan Morehead is not one of them. After a year at a desk job that simply wasn’t cutting it, she made a courageous decision and left the corporate world behind to pursue something that’d been a lifelong passion: fashion. Since doing so, she hasn’t wasted a second of her time looking back.
